What we stand for

Wild Boar USA is a family-owned and operated business led by JC and Kim Cassens. JC, a U.S. veteran, is the owner of Wild Boar USA, and his wife, Kim, serves as Store Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the business and working directly with customers and dealers.

For us, Wild Boar USA is more than a business. We value the relationships we have built with hunters, dealers, and families throughout the hog hunting community. When you call or message us with a question about sizing, protective gear, or choosing the right product, you are dealing with people who genuinely care about helping you make the right choice.

Protection Backed by Testing

When it comes to protective hog-dog gear, we take safety seriously. We work with engineers and independent laboratories to test the materials used in our protective gear for puncture resistance. We continually evaluate our products' materials and construction using that information, along with experience and feedback from our vetted pro-staff and hunters in the field.

We also believe strongly in being honest about what protective gear can and cannot do. No cut vest or collar can guarantee 100% protection from the tusks of a wild hog. What we can do is work hard to provide highly cut- and puncture-resistant gear made from quality materials and designed to give your dog an added level of protection when it matters most.

Our History

Wild Boar USA was founded by longtime hog hunter and industry pioneer Cody Weiser. His experience in wild hog hunting led him to develop several products and programs that became part of the company's foundation, including Black Gold Wild Boar Attractant, the Weiser Weight & Tusk record system, and early Wild Boar USA protective vest designs.

In 2006, Cody launched Wild Boar USA magazine, and in 2008 expanded the business by acquiring Ugly Dog Ranch, bringing hog-dog protective equipment into the Wild Boar USA product line. His work with hunters and Pro Staff helped advance the design of protective gear, including the Guardian line of cut vests.

In 2009, JC Cassens purchased Wild Boar USA, beginning the company's next chapter. While the business has continued to evolve over the years, its focus remains the same: providing dependable products, knowledgeable service, and quality protective gear for the hog hunting community.

Today, Wild Boar USA continues that tradition while looking toward the future, improving products, listening to the hunters who use them, and remaining committed to truth, integrity, and protecting what matters most.
